Sino-German Dialogue Forum on Environment and Climate Change: Exploring Solutions in Urban Solid Waste Management

The Sino-German Dialogue Forum on Environment and Climate Change: Exploring Solutions in Urban Solid Waste Management took place on Wednesday June 6, 2018 in Beijing, China. Bringing together more than 180 prominent speakers and participants from politics, business, academia and finance, the Forum was dedicated to the topic of urban solid waste management and related themes such as Circular Economy, the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).

The Sino-German Dialogue Forum is financed by funds of the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by KfW and co-organised by the Chinese Ministry of Finance (MoF).


KfW’s cooperation with China

KfW Development Bank has been operating in China on behalf of the German Federal Government since the 1980s, with a particular focus on environmental and climate protection. The short film shows two current project examples that are designed to serve as models.
